Survey Reveals Sustainable Consumption Hurdles for Students in Japan

A survey by mamoru, conducted from December 2021 to May 2022 with 700 students, discovers hurdles for sustainable shopping and actions for students in Japan


Our survey shows that 45% of students in Japan are interested in sustainability, and nearly as many (40%) think about the impact their shopping behavior has on the environment. However, only 21% of students actively take action toward sustainability and 79% of all students find sustainable products and services expensive.
